Shop at The Brochs

The Brochs of Coigach offer a lot more than you would expect from a holiday home. You can shop with us. We have sold produce from our croft and farm reared stock for some time, rare breed lamb and slightly more mature hogget meat.

But now you can purchase more durable high quality goods. We sell beautifully tanned fleeces from our sheep as well as limited edition Brochs plates designed and individually painted by Highland Stoneware. We sell unusual antiques. And, most importantly, we sell art.

Those of you who have stayed with us know that most of the art in The Brochs is by John Bellany (1942 – 2013), probably Scotland’s greatest post-war painter whose works are included in collections the world over, such as in the Museum of Modern Art and The Metropolitan Museum in New York, and Tate Britain in London. We also have many works by the equally esteemed Will MacLean (born 1941). Both, but Bellany in particular, are known as highly accomplished printmakers, too. Over the last few years, we have acquired a sizeable collection of their etchings, lithographs and aquatints. You are able to buy some of these valuable pictures from us. They are framed and ready to go, or we can send them by art courier. Prices start at £720.00

We also offer a choice of small and inexpensive pieces by lesser known artists as well as unusual antiques, and of course our very own sheep skins.

German speakers can acquire signed and personally dedicated copies of SCHOTTEN DICHT by your host Reiner Luyken, published by Ullstein, Berlin, for £7.00. The book, subtitled "News form Scotland and Achiltibuie", now in its third edition. We are hoping to have an English version ready in the near future.
