***** What a privilege it was to be the first guests in this wonderful accommodation. Everything was pristine, the facilities top-of-the-range, and the setting inspirational. We had a glorious time and could never tire of the constantly changing views across the bay: so many shades of grey (and dazzling blue on the last two days) fishing boats, soaring seabirds and always the promise of seals. We highly recommend boat trips to the Summer Isles and to the falls near Kylesku. Beaches north of Lochinver are stunning and almost empty . But a highlight was on our doorstep: a visit to the Coigach Tea Shop in Polbain, run by a delightful lady who is as generous with her knowledge of local lore as with her home made cakes.

***** The best the Highlands has to offer for a couple. If  you are seeking a spectacular setting and hinterland, remote yet with the amenities nearby when you want them, high specification accomodation of a top boutique hotel, standard and style, loads of natural light and great views whilst relaxing inside, large rooms and owners who clearly care for it with a passion - then you will not get any better.

***** What an absolutely fabulous place to stay, if only we could be here longer. Congratulations to Reiner and Sheileagh for making such an unusual idea work so well.

The property is as good as it looks in the photos and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The owners had provided some thoughtful touches such as fresh wild flowers and some lovely handmade soap in the bathroom. The fixtures and furnishings were all of high quality and the large bed was extremely comfortable.

Even though we stayed in July it was still cool in the evenings so on a couple of occasions we lit the wood burning stove (a supply of wood and firelights were provided), which along with the underfloor heating made the cottage lovely and cosy. It was absolute bliss just sitting in the peace and quiet looking at the wonderful view across the bay.

We spent most of our time touring around the area, the highlights being the road to Lochinver, the beautiful beaches at Durness and (although a long way) the Applecross Inn and the road back over the mountains to Lochcarron. We also took the boat trip to the Summer Isles from Achiltibuie.

***** What a wonderful place made all the more unique by the artwork collection. Huge thanks to Reiner & Sheileagh especially for the warm reception! Next time will be for a longer stay.

***** We were looking for somewhere to relax and enjoy fabulous scenery. We got fabulous scenery, fabulous lodgings, awesome art and time to appreciate it. Thank you for having the vision and then letting us experience it!

... and a very touching entry in Gille Buidhe's Broch's guestbook by a 12-year-old German boy: Das Haus ist wie die Vermieter - einfach Klasse!
